I am indeed glad to note that the SANSKARAM GROUP OF INSTITUTION has reached yet another milestone in its journey of over half decades, by establishing a Veterinary institution, with a mission to develop quality Veterinarian and to provide top-notch Animal health care services to the rural areas. Sanskaram College of Veterinary & Animal Science has been established to provide an inspirational environment to all its students and to keep our commitment to bring quality education within easy reach of the people of India.
India has vast livestock resources that play a pivotal role in the Indian economy. The livestock sector contributes 4.11% of GDP and 25.6% of total Agriculture GDP. It contributes 16% to the income of small farm households as against an average of 14% for all rural households. Moreover, it provides employment to about 8.8 % of the population of India. Veterinarians have a major role in doubling farmers’ income. It is now unanimously accepted at all levels that the farmer’s income can be doubled only by integrating animal husbandry activities with agriculture. The Veterinarian is committed professionally and morally to the rural community.
