The Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding is imparting teaching genetic principles and
its application for genetic improvement of livestock and poultry species along with Biostatistics
and Computer Application to the students of B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree course in accordance with
MSVE 2016 VCI guidelines and to VLDD students in accordance with LUVAS, Hisar
guidelines. The department has all the facility as per the criteria of MSVE 2016 guidelines,
including computer lab facility. The faculty members of the department are highly qualified and
have published their research papers in reputed National and International Journals. The
department has dedicated itself in teaching and extension in the field of animal breeding and
genetics. The faculty of the department, regularly involved in providing knowledge to the
farmers and stakeholders of dairying.
