Department of Veterinary Anatomy has the directive to make acquainted the students with the form and structure of various animal species and to facilitate them to learn the basic concepts and fundamentals of veterinary anatomy and histology that serves as the foundation for the future sciences of different streams like Gynaecology, Surgery, etc. This department also deals with principles of embryogenesis and organogenesis during the development process. To fulfil these criteria, the department has a well equipped gross anatomy demonstration hall as well as a dissection hall. The embalming room has the facility for short and long-term storage of dissected specimens and articulated and disarticulated skeletons of several livestock species.
